Kinds Of Soap

       There are three types of soap used for bathing. Solid bath soap is more economical and durable. Common liquid soap used for bathing. Solid bath soap and shower gel are commonly used for bathing. Soap cream is commonly used for beauty treatments such as a salon or spa.




       Bar soap is soap that has been molded and shaped solid texture firm and does not contain water, but it will become softer when exposed to water. Soap is somewhat difficult to dissolve in water. Most solid soap has a price that is cheaper than liquid soap.






     Cream soap is soap that is soft and moist texture. Soap is more soluble when exposed to water. This soap is not very common to use for a daily bath. This soap is often used for skin care.


 Liquid soap is a thick liquid soap. Soap is very easily soluble when exposed to water. Liquid soap is very easy and practical to use in the shower and make bath time we become faster.

How To Make a Bath Soap

Here is a tool that should be prepared to make soap:
- Digital scales (must be digital)
- Alcohol thermometers
- Stainless pans
- Cake mixer 

- Timers
- Spoons
- Plastic container for weighing ingredients
- Soap mold
- Plastic gloves (and mask).

Ingredients (for 1kg soap):
- Palm oil (cooking oil / palm oil) 379 grams
- Coconut oil (coconut oil) 310 grams
- Water 266 grams
- Caustic Soda 108 grams
- Perfume 15 ml starter
- Pieces of colorful soap (small squares 1 cm x 1 cm)

How to Make:
1. Weigh all the ingredients properly. Use gloves when weighing caustic soda.
2. Heat the mixture of palm oil and coconut oil to a temperature of 60 C.
3. Put caustic soda into the water. If no vapor should not be inhaled.
4. Put a mixture of caustic soda and water into the oil at a temperature of 55 C.
5. Stir with mixer until thickened (about 15-20 minutes).
6. Put perfume (this time I used a scented Lavender). Stir for 1 minute longer.
7. In this recipe, I also mix colorful soap that has been cut into small pieces.
8. Pour in mold. Let stand for 1-2 days.
9. Remove the soap, cut according to taste. Put into a sealed cardboard cake that has dibolongi slightly for ventilation.
10. Let stand soap for at least 30 days before use. Or may be packed using plastic wrap and paper so that it does not smell too quickly evaporate.

History Of Soap Bath

          Preliminary evidence found through the ancient excavations have been carried out shows that the material is like a soap was created around 2800 BC in Babylon. Formula is like a soap showed the material contains water, alkali and cassia oil was recorded on a piece of clay around 2200 SM.             

          When notes on Eber Papyrus in Egypt namely  document health also around 1550 BC show the ancient Egyptians had a shower to use fatty material from animals, plant oils and alkaline salts are made of materials such as soap.      


          By the legend of Rom, soap got its name from Mount Sapo, where the  sacrificed animals. Rain water will flow down and helped bring together animal fats , waxes and powder of wood burned. Rainwater had made material was mixed and then flows down the mountain along the Tiber river. Women who use water to clean clothes along the river to find water from the river that contains ingredients such as wax that has been found to clean clothes dirty work becomes easier.
